Hand Releases White Dove

Therapy

Hope Not Despair Counselling provides a nurturing and non-judgmental space for individuals to share their emotions, thoughts, and experiences with a Christian counsellor. With empathy, understanding, and exploring solutions, I aim to guide clients towards positive change and personal growth.

Therapy sessions  are designed to help you navigate life's challenges, build resilience, and develop coping strategies. A client-centered approach will involve listening to your story, developing goals, and perhaps education and teaching you skills to assist you move towards your goals.

Online counselling allows you to have therapy from the convenience of your own home, or on your mobile device.

Tailored Support for Your Emotional Well-being

Personalized Therapy Services

I want to provide therapy sessions tailored to your unique needs, addressing issues such as anxiety, depression, stress and burnout, workplace disharmony,  grief, trauma, marriage and relationship difficulties, shame and sorrow. Therapeutic interventions aim to foster emotional healing, and personal transformation. I do not have a one-size-fits-all approach. My plan is to carefully listen to what you say, and then spend my time after we finish the session considering what are useful options to explore in future sessions. Goals will be set collaboratively; that is, I won't be pushing my goals, but helping you develop and work towards your goals.

Family Counselling: (planned for 2026)

The  therapeutic approach combines evidence-based practices with a compassionate and non-judgmental attitude. I believe in creating a safe and trusting environment where clients can explore their inner world, gain insights, and work towards positive change.

Personalized Approach

My personalized approach ensures that your therapy sessions are tailored to your specific needs, allowing for a deeper understanding of your emotions and experiences.

Evidence-based Techniques

I utilise evidence-based techniques to ensure that therapy services provided are backed by research. You will be encouraged to provide feedback as to how you are progressing.

Holistic Well-being

I believe in a holistic approach to well-being, addressing not only the symptoms but also the root causes, if you so desire. Holistic care may involve counselling, medications from your doctor, and general health measures such as eating a nutritious diet, exercise, rest and sleep, pursuit of hobbies, and connecting with friends.

Christian Counselling

For many clients,  trust in God is an important part of the healing journey, and a source of great strength and hope. You can freely discuss with me your faith, how it helps you, and any struggles you may be having. If you have hurts or harm from previous negative experiences, I will listen without judgment.

This is all optional and only if you feel comfortable and have consented.

What Happens Next?

After you contact me I will read your message and send you some forms to fill out and sign. Counselling requires your consent, including for using video technology (Telehealth). I will also need a Client Information Form completed, outlining your personal details, and the issue that you wish to have counselling for.
Information will be confidential, and kept secure. Please read the Privace Policy.
In keeping with ethical standards, if I believe that I do not have the right skills for your particular issue, I will let you know and not commence therapy.

Start Your Journey Today

My policy is to have only a limited number of  clients so I can give my best. I will let you nominate the time and days that suit you best.

When you send me a message, I will try to reply within 24 hours. If your problems are outside my scope of training, I will not be able to assist, and will let you know this.

Note that I do not counsel serious mental illness online. If you are suicidal  please contact Lifeline on 13 11 14 or phone 000.
